# Coverage and comparison limits

The September 2026 retrieval has observations through 2025, not 2026 outcomes.
Malaysia and Laos end in 2024 in all three series. Singapore has no values in
the requested window. Brunei has no received series and paid data ends in 2009.
Vietnam received series end in 2004 and paid data in 2014; Myanmar ends in 2019.
These historical-only series are excluded from the recent scoreboard, but
remain selectable in the annual history and exact-year comparison.

No missing observation is treated as zero. No value is interpolated, estimated
from the GDP share, or substituted from another provider. A selected year
means that exact year, including blank cells. Latest observations can differ
in year between countries or indicators; do not subtract differently dated
received and paid values to manufacture a net flow.

Dollar volume and share of GDP measure different things. A large recipient
can have a smaller GDP share than a small economy. Changes in current-dollar
amounts reflect nominal flows and may also reflect exchange rates and prices.
Recorded flows may not capture informal channels. These aggregates are not
bilateral flows, personal-transfer-only measures, or counts of migrant workers.
