GDP at purchasing power parity
PPP international dollars are distinct from market-exchange-rate US dollars. This separate axis preserves Indonesia’s much larger scale.

Key findings from this pack
- Indonesia is the largest economy on both nominal and PPP measures, which use different units.
- The Philippines and Malaysia have similar nominal scale in this projection vintage.
- Vietnam leads the supplied growth projections; Thailand’s large-economy growth is softer.
- Myanmar’s inflation requires conflict and data-quality context; it is not an ASEAN average.
Methods & coverage
April 2026 projections
The supplied IMF WEO / DataMapper April 2026 scoreboard contains 2026 projections, not realised outcomes. Source and year come from the CSV. The as_of date, 7 September 2026, is the mirror snapshot documented in the pack’s PROVENANCE.md, not a new WEO release date. Links identify the four IMF series documented in the pack. Downloads preserve the original values and optional 2025 context columns.
Separate measures and scales
Nominal GDP uses market-exchange-rate US$ billions; PPP GDP uses international-dollar billions. They are never plotted on a shared axis or added together. Real growth and annual-average CPI inflation remain separate percentage measures. Linear GDP scales preserve Indonesia’s scale; Timor-Leste retains its numeric value and an explicit small-scale label rather than a false gap or enlarged bar.
Country context and coverage
Myanmar’s conflict and data-quality limitations make its projections directional. Its inflation is shown with a caveat; no ASEAN average or regional aggregate is calculated. Singapore’s hub role and Timor-Leste’s Petroleum Fund require country context. All four 2026 series cover SEA-11 in this pack. Any future empty cell remains missing, not zero.
