Methods & reading notes

Regional poles and peer comparisons are distinct: Singapore and Myanmar provide SEA-11 context. The Philippine peer set is Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia; Singapore is not an INFORM peer benchmark.

Keep the frameworks separate

WGI government effectiveness, rule of law and control of corruption describe distinct institutional dimensions. They are estimates, with uncertainty not supplied in this pack; the displayed order alone does not establish statistically significant differences. We do not average them into a new score.

RSF press freedom concerns civic and media conditions, not administrative capacity. INFORM is multi-hazard risk: exposure, vulnerability and lack of coping capacity. It is neither a governance score nor a growth forecast. No combined ranking is computed.

Observation years and provenance

Each panel retains its indicator year from the scoreboard and source definition from the supplied README and brief. The CSV does not contain source or as_of columns. Badges therefore identify the documented source and explicitly label as_of as the pack snapshot. This is not an upstream extraction timestamp. The download preserves original precision and country notes.

Country context and missing data

Myanmar carries conflict and data-quality caveats. Country comparisons should be read with their vintages. Blank observations are displayed as an em dash, never zero. INFORM classes are taken from the CSV notes, not assigned using invented cutoffs. Poverty and Gini are outside this scoreboard.
